What do you do to ensure you get a good night's sleep?
Submitted by Jacob's Ladder.
I try everything, but nothing works--i've given up, and just always have stuff to read handy. I have to learn to shut my brain off at night.
How do you pass the time during a flight? What do you bring in your carry-on?
I bring my ipod, and a laptop loaded with books and videos (i usually have to either do work or check in a bunch of times when i'm away anyway, so the laptop's actually useful).
What is the greatest compliment you've received?

this is one of them:
Evan:
I love you, or something. Your posts on MeFi really lift my spirits. Who are you? Keep up the great work!
The greatest ones i've ever received have been the anonymous ones from people who like my mefi stuff, i think.
We know you never slack off at work, but if you did, what would you do?
sleep really late, and lay in front of the tv and laptop the rest of the day. : >
What's something that you're really proud of, which most people in your life don't know about?
Submitted by CosmicBabe.
It's a general thing--that i've tried to live my life my way--not the way i was brought up to live it-- not for security or safety or "for my old age", etc--but for what's right for me. It doesn't always work, and i've gotten into big trouble for it, but i wouldn't have it any other way--every time i've made decisions purely for the safest reasons and not because my heart was in it, i've been desperately unhappy.
Would you rather go back in time or visit the future?
Submitted by Auds.
Definitely the future--i'd love to see what we've done with ourselves and the world in 500 or 1000 years from now. Imagine the differences and hopefully the progress we've made (and think about how daily life was in 1000 compared to 2000). I'd hope i'd be shocked, surprised--and most importantly, delighted and proud.
What were your New Year's resolutions for 2006? How did you do?
badly--i had just one--to be living in another country (preferably in the EU). Didn't happen, sadly. Maybe by New Year's 08?
What were your top 5 TV shows of 2006?
Mostly British--
Life on Mars
Ugly Betty
Dr. Who (altho it was better in 05)
Torchwood
Daily Show (always and forever)
